Back Again

As a lot of you know Justin is back at Mayo Clinic. The past couple of weeks he has had some fluid building up and draining on his chest incision. This morning they are going in and cleaning out his sternum.

They will be growing cultures to ensure it’s not infected. They may be taking out the wires on his sternum as well, depending on how it looks when they get in there.

Surgery Starts in the AM

We got to the hospital this morning at 7 and they started the procedure at 8:40.

They expect this to be a much shorter surgery. We are hopeful that there is no infection. He my get discharged right away this afternoon or they may keep him over night.

Justin was pretty nervous this morning but Grayson kept him in pretty good spirits! Grayson has been making a lot of friends around here the passed few days! Yesterday they did a ct scan, x ray, blood work, and we met with the surgical team.

If you could keep him in your prayers today we would really appreciate it.

Thank you everyone so much! They did go ahead and take all his wires out. They will be growing culture to ensure there is no infection. They said everything went well! And he is being discharged this afternoon!
